FC Annecy, 10th in Ligue 2, qualified for the semi-finals of the French Cup after beating Olympique de Marseille 7-6 on penalties on Wednesday night (2-2 after 90 minutes).

Veretu (’29) opened the score against Marseille, Dion (’53) and Mouang (’59) scored for the guests, and Muge (’90+6) equalized for the hosts.

OM missed the penalty due to Alexis Sanchez (’85).

In the shootout, Marseille scored Gendouzi, Sánchez, Klaus, Unahi, Vithigny and Rongier (missing Tavares and Balerdi), while Annecy scored Demonsi, Mouang, Balde, Jean, El-Jouahary, Chamal and Lajougi (missing Kashi).

They also qualified for the semi-finals of the French Cup Olympic Lyon (2-1 against Grenoble), Toulouse (6-1 against Rodez) and Nantes (2-1 against Lens).
