Tomorrow, Thursday, March 2, the Hellenic Train flight will not take place due to a 24-hour strike declared by the Panhellenic Railway Federation (POS).
The board of directors of the Panhellenic Federation of Railways and Rail Vehicles and the administration of all primary trade unions working on Greek railways, at their extraordinary meeting held today, unanimously decided to call on Thursday a 24-hour strike of all employees employed in all railway companies.
“The disrespect shown by governments over time to Greek railways led to the tragic end of Tempi. Unfortunately, our constant requests for full-time recruitment, better training, but above all, the application of modern security technologies are constantly being thrown into the trash, ”the POS said in a statement. “Today, the Railroad family is poorer. Today Greece is poorer. The next day is a day of reflection and mourning for our fallen colleagues,” POS concluded in a statement.
