
Chinese President Xi Jinping said his country is ready to cooperate with Belarus to promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations at the highest level, Chinese state media reported today.
Xi also said that China and Belarus should support each other to “protect their core interests, resist interference by foreign powers in their internal affairs, and ensure the sovereignty and political stability of the two countries.”
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was in Beijing. The two heads of state signed a joint statement to further develop the “all-weather” and comprehensive strategic partnership between their countries, state media reported.
China and Belarus also signed documents on bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, industry, agriculture, science and technology, healthcare, tourism and sports, the Chinese Xinhua news agency reported.
