Mihai Shor’s husband showed us what Immortality looks like. Living 106 years is not something that is here and there. More than 99.9% of Romanians do not reach this age. And many of us do not even dream of such an age, because our life is poverty, diseases, rejection of children, and various evils. Therefore, the most frequent question is: why does not death take me when I have lived enough? Mihai Shora did not ask himself such a question. He had no reason to. He became an Immortal – that’s how we all saw him. However, the second experience that Mihai Shor gives us after life is the experience of death. This is death. I confess that Mihai Shora is among us, I did not think so.

Mihai Shor is compared with the great thinkers of the world. Examples of origin and equality with great names in philosophy are given. I believe in those who create such connections and equalities of Mihai Shora. I don’t have the culture to check. Mihai Shora, that’s all I can say, he knew, he became a spirit, he had a critical thinking that we workers, especially after the revolution, enjoyed. He managed to carry out the “generalized dialogue” he wrote about in Romania. The proof is his civic gestures: he was 100 years old, on a cold day he broke stones in Victoria Square, protesting against plagiarism, lies, the evil Livius Dragnea and said: “I resist!” That’s all. And we were proud, and we talked to Sora like a human being.

His spirit came between us when we were in trouble, when we did not know the way. as? We went to Shora on Facebook to see if it was okay to take her. In desperation, I joked. I roared with joy.

I knew him from University Square in 1990 and since then by his unassuming presence at GDS promotions. As many times as the Romanian boat took on water, so many times Mihai Shora had a word to say. And why is it important to have such a high spirit as Shora in all this? Well, it’s simple. There is a whole mythology here. Of course, you can be absent, riots happen even without great philosophers. But it takes a spirit, an intellectual goblin, to say: this is good, even if the hobbit also does not know the consequences of this gesture. And you want to see consistency, you want to see that you’re on the good side. And here Mihai Shora experienced all our political worries. The problem is that Sora is dead and our society is still unstable. Yes, so he showed us that he died, he showed us that there is death, right? But Romania is still made of bricks.

Then Mihai Shora lived 106 years without causing much harm to this world, loving women, why not, doing two or three things that are known to everyone and forgotten. And I believe that these things are also part of the Immortality that he showed us. I mean, what was Mihai Shora doing between famous protests? Well, he fought in the anti-Nazi Resistance in France as long as he could, returned like a fool to Romania, read, kept silent, ate, drank, talked and chatted with the best minds like his with Ro, Sorin Vieru, Constantin Noica, Petre Țuțea , loved, rebuilt the “Library for All”, which for about two generations swallowed and became as smart as they could, it passed 50 years through communism without getting lost. I mean, he was human. That is, he lived his life ennobled by love. And I think he reached 106 years ago that he loved. He also loved philosophizing, yes, and what he did, but he also loved women. Among many, he found the “universal panacea” for immortality: love.

It’s a great thing, I say, that his mind was working at 106, don’t you think? Or all these together, spirit and body make the triumph of the human being. Because it is good to feel that you are not lost, that you have not been abandoned. have you wondered how our fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers are lost, forgotten, forsaken, forgotten in the shadows. Sora was loved and felt alive. Or, that’s what Immortality is made of. Mikhay Shor was loved, he was not forgotten.

Now Mihai Shora, as in the books he has taken care of for us, as in the “Library for All”, shows us what death looks like. Sir, he was human. I mean he lived and died. So, such a long life, we had no idea, Mihai Shora showed it to us. So there is also death. Sora shows it to us. We forgot, we thought he was immortal, and henceforth we relied on him for a long time. Because in our Romania we don’t really care about life and death. But only with thievery, betrayal, lies, poverty, consumerism, opportunism, militancy of another. Mihai Shora showed us what immortality is in life. Now he shows us that there is death. Wow, what a man!
