Rapid Bucharest beat Cindia Tirgovishte 2-0 after more than half the lead scored by a penalty and an own goal in the 27th round of the Super League.

After two games without a win, Adrian Mutu’s men needed three points to stay in first place.

In the first half, each team had one injured player, Kostake left the field in the 9th minute and Vorobiovas in the 44th minute.

In extra time of the first half, Chindia remained at 10, Kapusha received a second yellow card after a hard tackle on Junior Morais.

With an additional man, “Rapid” attacked the entire second half and scored from 11 meters, which was realized by Marko Dugandzic in the 66th minute.

Only two minutes later, Dejan Boldor deflected Valentin Kostake’s cross into his own net.

In the end, Chindia was dangerous on the counter-attack and Daniel Popa twice found himself one-on-one with the Moldovan keeper, who held up brilliantly.

Rapid scores 49 points and currently sits on the podium, nine points behind leader Farul. Chindia remains in tenth place with 30 points.
