The National Weather Service has issued a series of yellow codes, especially for heavy snow, warning that half the country will be covered in snow by Monday.

Two yellow codes are in effect for both heavy snow and heavy snow from 11:00 p.m. Saturday until 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

In the specified interval in the Western Carpathians, in the north of the Eastern Carpathians, as well as at an altitude of more than 1700 m in the Southern Carpathians, where there will be an increase in the wind, quantitative snow will fall and a stable layer of snow will fall. with gusts over 90…100 km/h and a blizzard.

In Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Cluj, Suceava and Niamc counties, snowfall will prevail, with an average of 10…12 cm of snow.

In Banat, Krishan, Maramures and the rest of Transylvania, there will be mixed precipitation, quantitatively moderate.

In the southern and southeastern regions, it will rain for a short time, and in the afternoon and evening of Sunday (February 26), the rains will have a torrential nature and will be accompanied by electrical discharges in places.

Another code yellow weather warning is in effect from 6:00 p.m. Sunday until 3:00 p.m. Monday, also for quantitatively significant snowfall and persistent snow cover.

In Banat, Crisan, Maramures, most of Transylvania and the northern half of Moldova, snow will fall with a layer of snow from 10 to 20 cm thick.
