David Popovici, the best Romanian athlete of 2022
The 2022 two-time world and European champion, the 18-year-old athlete, posted a message on his official Facebook account on Friday evening to share his goals for the new year.
“Congratulations to all,
I feel like I haven’t been very clear about my future plans in recent weeks, and I think I should answer you. I divide my energy between mental (family, friends), studies and sports.
All three are very important to me so that I can grow as a person and feel that I am doing what I love, what I am passionate about, but also what is right.
The most important thing is family, professional growth is important, and I owe sports sincerely and with understanding.
At the same time, I will be more actively engaged in public affairs in the next period. I really want us to be successful as a country and as people, I want to see as many happy and healthy Romanians as possible.
I feel the need to be more involved, we need to help Romania with success stories and the hope that everyone can succeed and overcome anything.
Let’s support each other, it’s important.
Stay close!” wrote David Popovich.
