Returning to the discussion of his career rivals, the Serb praises Carlos Alcaraz, who was ranked number one in the world and who also won the US Open last summer.

While he appreciates the Iberian’s qualities, Nole says there is only one of his great rivals: Rafael Nadal.

“He’s definitely the next big champion (no, Alcaraz) in our sport, if he’s not already there.

However, the rivalry with Nadal is something else and cannot be eliminated just because someone is doing important things in the last year and a half (without Alcaraz).

Currently, both are tied (22 titles each) in the historical hierarchy of Grand Slam trophies.
