Meeting with the newly elected President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos ChristodoulidesPresident of SYRIZA – PS, had Alexis Tsipraswho visits Cyprus.

During a short conversation between two men in front of the cameras Mr. Tsipras wholeheartedly wished Mr. Christodoulidis every success in overcoming the difficulties he will face and in the great tasks ahead.. For his part, Mr. Christodoulides emphasized the need to respond to the expectations of citizens and to the main challenges, both concerning national problems and the economy and society.

Previously, Mr. Tsipras attended and delivered a speech at the event in memory of Vasos Lissaridis, and also held a series of successive meetings with the candidate in the last presidential elections of the Republic of Cyprus and diplomat Andreas Mavroyiannis with EDEK President Marino Sizopoulos and AKEL Secretary General Stefanos Stephanou. Later, he will take part in a dinner hosted by the mayor of Lefkara, Sophocles Sophocleous.
