During a meeting of two men at the central hotel in Nicosia, Al. Tsipras congratulated A. Mavroyiannis on his election campaign and they discussed the progress of the negotiations as well as efforts to find a just and sustainable solution to the Cyprus problem.

Then an exchange of views took place on issues of regional development.

Al. Tsipras will also hold meetings with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis, EDEK President Marino Sizopoulos and AKEL Stefanos Stefanos.

In the afternoon, he will attend a memorial event for Vasos Lissaridis, followed by a dinner hosted by the Mayor of Lefkara, Sophocles Sophocleous.
