Harry and Meghan Deny South Park Trial Rumors: ‘Bad Nonsense’

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has vehemently denied reports that the couple are “furious” at the producers of the satirical series South Park after the latest episode to air featured two characters who were seen as comic caricatures on them.

In the episode, “Canadian Princess” is described as “an actress, a powerful woman, a sorority girl, and a victim”, while her prince husband wrote a revealing book about his family and the media called “Waaagh!”.

The episode in question revolves around two characters who are “almost identical to Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry,” comments The Guardian, noting that the episode’s creators weren’t lenient with them.

In the episode titled “Privacy World Tour”, two characters travel the world in their private jet, asking the world to stop messing with them. In whatever country they land, they wave placards saying “Stop looking at us” and shout “We want privacy.” The pair march through Paris, India and the outback areas of Australia where all kangaroos live.

The reaction from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spokesperson followed several articles saying the Duchess of Sussex was unhappy with how Matt Stone and Trey Parker portrayed the couple. “Frankly, this is nonsense,” the same source told The Guardian, referring to “completely groundless and boring reports.”

In the episode, “the princely couple of Canada” move into a house across the street from the residence of series protagonist Kyle because they are looking for “a life free from invasion of privacy and media ‘light'”. The Prince character plays drums loudly in the street near the house and yells: “Hey you! What are you looking at; have you ever heard of privacy?

The prince and princess set off fireworks at night “to keep people from noticing them” while the princess character states, “How many more princes and their wives have to live in this nightmare?”
