The David Bowie Archive will be opened to the public to say, “Oh!  You are beautiful things”

Traveling exhibition from 2013 to 2018 “David Bowie is” it has become a must-have for the musician’s fans – after all, it is estimated that more than 2 million people visited it.

No less interesting for Bowie fans is the new collection, which will be open to the public. 2025 and will include 80,000 items British.

David Bowie’s file fell into his hands Victoria and Albert Museum and is expected to open to the public in a new, purpose-built space in the east London and specifically in Stratford, which will be called “David Bowie Center for the Study of the Performing Arts”.

The collection will include Bowie’s awards, costumes and musical instruments, even the pen he played in 1969 “Space Strange” but also more personal items such as letters and handwritten notes. Some of these objects are also included in the David Bowie Exhibit catalogue, while others will be presented to the public for the first time.

The related announcement reads: “The archive traces Bowie’s career as a musical innovator, icon, and champion of self-expression and reinvention from the start of his career in the 60s to his death in 2016.”

The David Bowie Center, in turn, sheds light on a brilliant career, as well as reissues and releases of archival materials of the musician over the past few years from Warner.

The amount donated for Bowie’s archive has not been disclosed, but it is said to have been made possible by a donation of $12 million from Blavatnik Family Foundation And Music group Warner.
