Recall, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said on Wednesday that Finland and Sweden are “hand in hand” to join NATO, but the decision to ratify their requests remains with Turkey.
However, he indicated that Finland would continue to join the Alliance once it was approved, even if Sweden’s bid was delayed.
The Finnish President also stressed that he would sign the draft NATO membership bill when it was approved by the Finnish parliament and the vote was scheduled for February 28.
