At numerous art exhibitions in Athens, Alexios Imano Maroulis reveals the world of fantasy. It is a world at the edge of the land of the subconscious, with elements figurative and flowing, allegorical and hyper-realistic. The exhibition of Alexia Imano Maroulis, an emerging artist of 30 years old, with good studies in London, San Francisco and Brussels, a student of Thassos Mysura, is presented until February 28 at the Alma Gallery (Ypsilantou 24, Kolonaki) by Maria Albani.
The design of Alexia Imano Maroulis is very attractive. Animal and bird forms give rise to a mystical feeling, on the verge of forest culture and dreamland. It includes interpretations of feminism and psychoanalytic projection.

While there is a clear and legible visual gesture in most of her work, there is a dark and ambiguous element to it.
What is impressive about this presentation of the work of Alexia Imano Maroulis is her work on glass and stained glass.

A technique with which we in Greece are not particularly familiar, at least at the level of modern artistic creation, but perhaps not even in use. Requiring an enormous investment of time and skill, the glass works of Alexia Imano Maroulis are stand-alone stained-glass windows with a modern and timeless language. She studied at the Pierre Mayerus Belgian Center for Stained Glass and then at the Van der Kelen Loegelen Institute for Decorative Painting, from which she graduated with honors and was awarded a silver medal.
The stained glass windows of Alexia Imano Maroulis inspire reflection on the dissemination of this art in private and public spaces in Greece. And furthermore, they reveal a creator with commitment and flair for what she offers.
