OUR Ray Liotta will receive posthumously, a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony scheduled for February 24. The actor died in his sleep in May 2022 while filming the thriller Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic. He was 67 years old.

The ceremony will be attended by the actor’s daughter Carsen, as well as Liotta’s film industry staff Elizabeth Banks and Taron Egerton, who will be keynote speakers at the event.

Egerton co-starred with Ray Liotta in the Apple TV+ series The Black Bird, while Banks cast him in the upcoming horror comedy Cocaine Bear, which hits theaters the same day as the ceremony. “We were perfect for each other. I felt relaxed when we hung out. We sat together quietly and comfortably, which rarely happens with others, this is special. Especially when you’ve just met them. And I mean it in the best possible way,” Egerton said.

“The characters he played will forever be in the history of Hollywood cinema,” said Hollywood Walk of Fame producer and director of public relations for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Ana Martinez.

The roles of Ray Liotta in the classic films “Goodfellas”, “Field of Wonders” and many others are considered iconic. On the small screen, his performance on Black Bird received rave reviews and award nominations.
