Russian military bloggers and military correspondents criticized the Kremlin for failing to stop Joe Biden from visiting Ukraine, while Dmytro Medvedev spoke about the US president’s death vow.

CNN quoted Igor Girkin, a former pro-Russian separatist commander in Donbas who later became one of Russia’s most prominent military bloggers, as saying that Biden may have made it all the way to Bakhmut, the epicenter of fighting in eastern Ukraine, without harm. .

“I won’t be surprised if grandfather (he’s good for nothing anyway, except for simple provocations) is also taken to Bakhmut,” he wrote in his Telegram channel before the US president’s departure from Ukraine.

“AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO HER,” he wrote in all caps to get his point across.

The height of irony: Biden arrived in Kyiv before Vladimir Putin

Russian journalist Serhii Mardan chose an even more aggressive tone, calling Biden’s visit “a demonstration of Russia’s humiliation.”

“Biden in Kyiv. Demonstration of humiliation of Russia. Stories about miraculous hypersonic weapons can be left to children. Just like the spells of the holy war we wage against the collective West,” he wrote on Telegram, referring to the “invincible” weapon Moscow says it has developed.

“I guess they take lunch breaks in the holy war,” he added.

The Telegram channel “Notes of Midshipman Ptichkin”, which is managed by servicemen of the Russian military and naval forces, ironically noted that Biden arrived in Kyiv before President Vladimir Putin.

“Almost a year after the start of the special operation, we are waiting for the president of the Russian Federation, not the president of the United States, in Kyiv, Russia,” the administrators of this channel write.

Medvedev talks about Biden’s oath to Ukraine

One of Putin’s staunchest allies, Dmytro Medvedev, also wrote in Telegram about Biden’s visit to Kyiv in a context in which the Kremlin has not yet expressed an official position on him.

“Biden, having received security guarantees, finally went to Kyiv. He promised many weapons and swore loyalty to the neo-Nazi regime until death. And, of course, there were mutual calls for victory, which will come with new weapons and brave people,” said the former prime minister and president of Russia, The Guardian reports.

He noted that “it is important to note that the West does send weapons and money to Kyiv quite regularly.”

“In huge quantities, allowing the military-industrial complex of NATO member countries to make money and, of course, pump out some of the weapons for sale to terrorists around the world,” Medvedev added.

None of those cited referred to the statements of White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, who said on Monday afternoon that the Russian side had been informed of Biden’s visit to Kyiv.
