
Vice Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Sun Chunlan was met today by Parliament Speaker Konstantinos Tassoulas.
According to a related parliamentary statement, Mr. Tasoulas noted that the visit of the Vice President of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China will make a very positive contribution to the continuation of the mutually beneficial cooperative relationship that Athens is striving for with Beijing.
Mr. Tasoulas and Ms. Sun exchanged views on issues of bilateral and international interest and ways to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation, in particular through the respective friendship groups.
The Speaker of the House congratulated the Vice President of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China on the contribution of the Chinese side to his work Center for Ancient Greek and Chinese Culture, the opening ceremony of which takes place today in the central building of the University of Athens. Both stressed that culture is an important aspect of relations between the two states.
Konstantinos Tasoulas and Sun Chonglang agreed that Chinese investment COSCO Delivery opens a successful example of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Finally, the Vice President of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China briefed the Speaker of the House on the latest developments related to the pandemic in China.
