In a few days, Porsche will present a major update to its Cayenne with important technical innovations. The latest teaser released by the manufacturer is also more reminiscent of a new generation than a restyling, but it will still be a “simple” update.
Big news for the flagship SUV of the firm from Stuttgart will appear in 2026. the first ever 100% electric Cayenne. But before his arrival, Porsche will have other electric carsone of which will arrive this year.

An electric Macan, Cayman and Boxster EV are coming, scheduled for 2025
After the Taycan presented in 2019, Porsche will present this year the 100% electric Macan, a model that has been severely delayed in its development, in particular due to the semiconductor crisis, but also due to the software problems that the group has faced. .
However, 2023 should be a good year for the electric Macan, with its arrival announced for the next academic year. This model will be based on the new PPE platform developed by Audi and Porsche.
In 2025 it will be the turn of the Cayman/Boxster duo to go electric, a first for these two models. We expect a lot from these two products as their philosophy should remain the same. While there is no doubt that they will be powerful, there are some questions about the weight of these two cars with the addition of batteries.
Will Porsche have three electric SUVs soon?
In 2026, Porsche will introduce a 100% electric Cayenne, a model that will also be based on the PPE platform and which will be combined, in particular, with the Mercedes-AMG EQS SUV. They cause the first rumors with a capacity of more than 600 hp. and 1000 Nm and the presence of a battery pack with a capacity of more than 100 kWh with an 800 volt architecture to support recharging of at least 270 kW in peak mode.
It is too early to talk about autonomy, but everything indicates that Porsche wants to achieve the 600 km range promised by Mercedes with its EQS SUV.
Like the Macan, the electric Cayenne should go on sale for several years alongside combustion engine versions. However, this does not apply to the new high-end SUV, which may not appear until 2027.
Codenamed ‘K1’, this model will be the manufacturer’s new flagship and should share many technical elements with the electric Cayenne, setting the bar even higher in terms of luxury, sportiness and refinement.
