Back on court after months out due to injury, Alcaraz eased past compatriot Bernabe Zapata Miralles, ranked 74th in the world, 6-2, 6-2 after a match that lasted one hour and 16 minutes.

Britain’s Cameron Norrie (world No. 12) defeated Juan Pablo Varillas (ATP No. 101) 7-6(5), 6-4 after a match that lasted one hour and 54 minutes to reach the final of the Argentine tournament.

Alcaraz has a 3-1 head-to-head record against Norrie, but the Brit won their last encounter: a quarter-final match in Cincinnati (August 2022).
