Athlete Giorgos Pomaski wore Adidas-designed long jump shoes in the Black Panther version, which even released them in limited pairs (limited edition).

According to World Athletics, this model is banned for use in long jump competitions. But no one checked Tedoglu’s shoes before he began his efforts in Torun’s indoor competition.

In an Instagram post, Miltos Tedoglu stated that he was “disgusted” by World Athletics’ decision, emphasizing that he did not care that his 8.40m performance would be cancelled.

In detail in his publication, he states: “Well, in the World Federation there are people on the team who have no idea about either shoes or sports. And they decide which spikes are suitable for athletes and which are not. They think that the thickness of the back of the shoe is good. In fact, not only is it useless, but it also makes the spikes heavy and makes it difficult to run.

“They canceled my 8:40 performance because I was wearing stilettos in the first picture. While the other two spikes are suitable for long jump. The first two pictures show the same studs, but they are different colors (by the way). Have you checked the studs that set the old records? Did they have lasers?

“I think that your team should have people with relevant experience in the sport. I am the one who jumps. I want to wear what is comfortable and safe. I don’t care about my 8.40m jump. I can do it whenever I want. It’s just not fair. I’m grossed out.

And the funny thing is that next week I will have the same nails, but in a different color and … these nails are approved! And ironically, you can miss three anti-doping tests if you don’t wear these shoes. Looks like the Black Panthers are too strong.”
