King Charles III of Great Britain met today in London with volunteers from the Turkish and Syrian diaspora who are collecting humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in the two countries.
He greeted members of the West London Turkish Volunteers (WLTV) charity and visited a kiosk set up in Trafalgar Square to support the victims of the earthquake in Syria.
The UK has sent 76 rescuers to earthquake-hit areas, and a committee representing 15 UK charities has raised around £60m (€68m) so far, including a “generous donation” from the royal family.
After the powerful blows of Enceladus, which claimed the lives of more than 37 thousand people in Turkey and Syria, King Charles expressed “sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.”
