“We note that the presence at the international book fair is a trip of a high degree of complexity, which involves the transportation of books and advertising products in most cases by minibus, construction and arrangement of the stand, permanent stay at the stand, organization and holding of cultural events of the program, some of which may take place simultaneously in different areas of the same city,” the document states.

The memorandum was endorsed by Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke and supported by Adrian Cachiu, Minister of Finance.

The list of writers invited to the international book fair is drawn up in consultation with the Writers’ Union of Romania and other well-known local cultural organizations, depending on the published titles, the authors’ reputation and the reaction to them from specialized critics and the reading public. literary productions.

Until now, in the case of trips abroad, delegations of ministries, the General Secretariat of the Government, state institutions subordinated/coordinated by the Government, or ministries, institutions and state authorities of the local public administration could consist of a maximum of two people.

In 2023, the Ministry of Culture will participate in international book fairs with:
