The galloping horse, which faced numerous reliability issues, retirements and strategic errors in last season’s races, finished second in the constructors’ standings behind Red Bull, the team of champion Max Verstappen.
Mattia Binotto resigned after being found to be the main culprit, and Frédéric Wasser, who came from Alfa Romeo, became the new team principal.
“The most important thing for all of us is to put Ferrari first. Last year, it’s no secret that the engine was not the best asset of the car. But now we have done a very good job and are ready.” Frederick Wasser saidthe new president of Ferrari, in Maranello (Emilia-Romagna).
“The goal is victory, unequivocally,” said Charles Leclerc. The second world champion will also represent Ferrari this season alongside the Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr.
