Nektarios Santorinios was born on May 17, 1972 in Rhodes.

He was elected Member of the Dodecanese Parliament for SYRIZA in the January and September 2015 elections.
On November 5, 2016, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy in the government of Alexis Tsipras.
On August 29, 2018, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, a position he held until July 9, 2019.
