War from Patras, peace from Thessaloniki. From your castle. SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras pointed it out PASOK that calls will not go unanswered. He chose Blue Macedonia to set the tone and make it clear that the front he is forming is directed only against Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
During these three days between the rallies, there was no meeting, no change of strategy. This “Scottish shower” is caused by skirmishes on the “border line” of centre-left voters seeking political asylum and favoring both parties. The commander does not want to continue the “elbows” at all. Elections have not yet been announced and the atmosphere around Harilaou Trikoupi has become very heavy. In the short term, he may favor SYRIZA as it is the main party with the strongest vote. If the conflict drags on any longer, the strategy of the official opposition alliances risks shrinking into the “village” of the left. And then the message of progressive management will be clouded.
SYRIZA is not that hard to rally the people who follow her. Measurements show that it is about 70% together with New Democracy. The problem is centered on the direct movement of voters to his right. Everyone shows that they prefer to “stand” either in PASOK or in the gray zone of the undecided. This is exactly what Christos Spirtzis is trying to fight against, whom Alexis Tsipras instructed to create alliances at the level of self-government, which will also work in parliamentary elections. The previous stop of the head of the Department for the Protection of Citizens was Thessaloniki, and this weekend – Etoloakarnania.
Three statements by Nikos Androulakis support the official opposition: that he wants New Democracy to be in opposition, his reference to the Social Democratic government, and that his mobile phone tapping was an attempt at blackmail. His instruction to the Central Committee to set up a cooperation government from the first Sunday without any bargaining for ministerial posts caused alarm in SYRIZA. They interpreted this as “turning a blind eye” to the “blue” faction in order to avoid a second, “difficult” vote. There are representatives of the official opposition who believe that PASOK does not have a specific clear strategy.
Those who took the lead in bringing the two spaces closer together were dismayed when things seemed to deviate from the usual objections in previous days. And wish, speaking on “K”, between “cold and heat” for the predominance of a warm climate in the next period. However, they admit that it is not in the hands of Alexis Tsipras, and they are worried about Nikos Androulakis “back and forth”, as they usually state.
Those who pioneered the convergence of the two spaces became alarmed when things seemed to deviate from the usual objections.
“Hard rock”, which began amid suspicions on the part of SYRIZA of a possible blackmail of Nikos Androulakis, was much discussed among the deputies of both sides. The leftmost of the 22 see Andreas Loverdos’ team “taking the head” as SYRIZA raises the thermometer to “red”. In the case of surveillance, they put the history of Novartis and the open wounds it left between the two sides.
PASOK’s collaboration with New Democracy in an amendment for a bloc in the Kasidiari party has now entered the equation. The President of SYRIZA presented his own proposal based on an article by constitutional experts Nikos Alivisatos and Xenophon Kontiadis. So he addressed a more modest audience, which he wanted to attract to himself. And this prompted, they say, Makis Voridis to start improvements.
Reapproach
Will there be partnership opportunities with Harilaou Trikoupi in the near future? There are executives who see the centre-left can find its first programmatic common ground with Maximos on private debt and the fight against energy precision. And there will most likely be initiatives from Kumunduru.
Alexis Tsipras is keen to find more free space at the Center, and this was evident from his speech in Parliament about the “bloc” of convicted gold miners. In an attempt to “push” the prime minister away from the vital golden mean, he accused him of trying to infiltrate the EAM anthem that plays at SYRIZA election rallies, of moving to more far-right positions and at the same time excluding the Kasidiari party from the far right “residential building”, which is being reconstructed. And that red line will become clearer as the polls get closer.
Char is suspicious. Tricap
SYRIZA and Alexis Tsipras suffering from (pre-election) stress crisis? This is what they believe about Harilaou Trikoupis, and they attribute it to the flurry of attacks they have been receiving lately from the main opposition party. “SYRIZA’s persistence at number two in the opinion polls and its failure to capitalize on the string of crises the government is facing is clearly irritating. Tsipras is worried about keeping SYRIZA above 30%. It’s not a worry about returning to power. This is primarily a concern for personal political survival,” says an experienced PASOK politician. And, analyzing his rationale, he states that the post-election day will be especially difficult for Alexis Tsipras after another defeat in the elections. And it will become especially difficult if the defeat in the elections is accompanied by a drop in the percentage.
Maybe in Komunduru, despite public opinion polls, they publicly declare that the election result is already predicting the victory of SYRIZA, but in Harilau Trikoupi they believe that this is part of the strategy of doping fans and an attempt to convince the waverers – some of which are traditionally aimed at winning the dominant – choose SYRIZA. PASOK believes that at the moment the leadership of SYRIZA chooses moves, knowing that the party is in second place. “We all read the same polls and we all have an image. Giving the example of Cyprus might be helpful for the fans, but that doesn’t mean the same thing happens with the metrics here. Also in Cyprus, the polls did not show who would be first.
With this data, PASOK is generally extremely wary of SYRIZA’s attempts to contact “either the good or the wild.” Initially, when Nikos Androulakis’ phone surveillance was made public, they saw a friendly attack from SYRIZA. “They thought they could build a front against the government and they took it for granted that PASOK would follow them. In this case, SYRIZA and personally Alexis Tsipras acted almost hegemonic. As if they consider themselves predominantly representatives of the center-left, progressive space, and the rest as an addition, ”says an associate of Nikos Androulakis. Alexis Tsipras of the PASOK Presidency is credited with constant efforts to be recognized as a political leader in this area. A role that they themselves do not recognize easily. And they showed it when Nikos Androulakis himself decided to respond to the attack of Alexis Tsipras, who saw a betrayal of the political legacy of Andreas Papandreou in PASOK’s possible post-election cooperation with the ND. Nikos Androulakis responded by posting a photo of Mr. Tsipras hugging Panos Kammenos, precisely to show that he is not giving a progressive sign to the political choice of the head of SYRIZA.
In Harilau Trikoupi, they see an unfolding strategy on the part of SYRIZA to capture voters from PASOK so that the official opposition party maintains its percentage and possibly claims something better in the upcoming elections. In this strategy, they include a report by the representative of the main opposition party, Popis Tsapanidou, that PASOK’s cooperation with ND. it could be a product of blackmail. “This was not a random mention, a personal assessment, something that got out of hand. Saying and supporting something like this was the central decision of the SYRIZA steering group,” PASOK assesses. This particular message deeply disturbed Nikos Androulakis personally. Not only because he seemed to be making critical political choices with non-political criteria, but also because he seemed open to blackmail. “Basically, what message did the SYRIZA leadership group want to convey? “That Androulakis did something that makes him a hostage, that he is open somewhere and can be caught, that there are elements in him that make him an object of manipulation,” it says.
New “loot”
Thus, the PASOK side believes that Alexis Tsipras’ only concern is to protect himself, and for this he is trying to target the political border areas in order to rob voters and leaders. They believe, however, that it is no coincidence that rumors persist about clandestine communication channels between SYRIZA and PASOK officials for possible cooperation. They believe that this is deliberately sent to the Komundur.
For his at least cautious – bordering on suspicion – attitude towards the leadership of SYRIZA, PASOK refers to the government cooperation of the main opposition party with ANEL Panos Kammenos. As they say, this is a choice that cannot be forgotten and which, despite the apologetic attitude, SYRIZA has never been convincingly explained. “They say they drew conclusions and divorced ANEL at a critical moment. What divorce? ANEL deputies remained to support the government, and some of them were subsequently included on the SYRIZA ballot,” they note pointedly.
