The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his video message on Sunday evening, said that the fact that the country’s energy capacity was restored to some extent thanks to great work is not a “decisive victory on the energy front”, noting that these could be new “terrorist attacks” from of Russia, writes News.ro.

“Today I want to personally recognize all those who are restoring the energy potential of our country. Most Ukrainians had few interruptions today and yesterday. Of course, unfortunately, restrictions remain in some areas where the degree of destruction is too great. Of course, with the beginning of a new week, consumption will increase, and therefore there will be planned shutdowns. But the very fact that we can have such energy-calm days after constant missile attacks by terrorists and Shahed, after this week’s massive missile attack, is a testament to the professionalism of our engineers and the tremendous dedication of everyone who works in our energy system.

It must be understood that this is not yet a decisive victory on the energy front. Unfortunately, there may be new terrorist attacks from Russia. There may be new restrictions if there is further destruction and increased consumption. But today and yesterday are another proof that, working together and helping each other, Ukrainians do great things. So let’s stay united! Don’t waste a day or a week! All for the sake of Ukraine!” – said Zelensky.

Sanctions against 200 employees of the Russian nuclear industry

He noted that he had signed a decree imposing sanctions on 200 people associated with Russia.

“This is another step, which consists in the sanctions of our state against the nuclear industry of the terrorist state. With my decree, I implemented the decision of the NSDC to introduce sanctions against 200 people who work for the Russian nuclear industry. We are doing everything to make the sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry part of the global sanctions against Russia for the war.

It is not easy. There is some resistance. But there was a period when other restrictions against Russia seemed difficult to implement. Now they are already used. All elements of the Russian system that participate in war, in provoking terror and financing aggression must be isolated from the global system. It will be done! This applies even more to those who participated in the seizure and illegal actions at our Zaporizhia NPP. Russia’s radiation blackmail against the world must be punished,” Zelenskyy said.
