FC Voluntari – FCSB 1-2, 25th stage of the Super League

The match at the discretion of FCSB could turn out to be a surprise in the end.

The team coached by Mihai Pintilius and Leo Strizu opened the scoring late in the first half thanks to Malcom Ejuma’s header from the small penalty area following Darius Olaru’s cross and Florinel Coman’s free-kick.

Ejuma doubled his lead in the 79th minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that Matricardi deflected into the net after the free kick.

Four minutes later, a controversial phase took place. The goal scorer could be ruled out by referee Radu Petrescu. A Frenchman from FC Botoshani interfered with Igor Armash’s face with his boots.

Ejuma received a yellow card and the VAR system did not intervene.

In the final, the hosts in attack managed to close the gap thanks to Marcelo Lopez in the 90th minute after a great tackle and a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

In the minutes of added time, former FCSB player Vadim Ratse could have equalized for Ilfoveni, but his recovery could not beat Tirnovana.

With Voluntari losing four straight, FCSB climbs to third in the Super League standings with 47 points, five points behind leaders Farul Konstanz.
