Real Madrid won their fifth Club World Cup trophy after defeating Al Hilal 5-3 in the final on Saturday at the Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

Real Madrid – Al Hilal 5-3, in the final of the Club World Cup

The European champions opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Vinicius Junior and doubled their lead five minutes later through Federico Valverde.

The Saudis reduced the difference in the 26th minute thanks to Moussa Marez, and the Spaniards went to the break with a minimal advantage.

The second half was spectacular, at least five goals were scored.

Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema extended Madrid’s lead in the 54th minute, and four minutes later Valverde extended the lead.

The Argentinian Luciano Vietto, who also scored a double for Al-Hilal in the 63rd and 79th minutes, entered the field.

In between two successes for the Saudis, Vinicius Junior scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute.

While it was the Asian Champions League winner’s first appearance in the final, Real Madrid won their fifth Club World Cup trophy after winning in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Flamengo – Al-Ahly 4-2, in the minor final of the Club World Cup

The Brazilian team “Flamengo” managed to finish on the podium of the Club Championship, defeating the Egyptian team “Al-Ahly” with a score of 4:2 in the minor final.

Flamengo opened the scoring in the 11th minute thanks to Barboza’s penalty and equalized before the break thanks to Ahmed Abdelkader’s goal in the 38th minute.

In the second half, the Egyptians missed an 11-yard strike in the 58th minute but took the lead two minutes later through Abdelkader’s brace before being reduced to ten men after Abdulfatah was sent off in the 69th minute.

Dominating the game, the Brazilians equalized through Pedro (77) and took the lead in the 85th minute when Barbosa converted another strike from 11 meters.

Pedro set the final score in the first minute of extra time.
