President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Saturday evening new measures to strengthen actions against Russian agents in the civil administration of his country.
Special services, investigators and prosecutors have already achieved significant results in protecting state institutions from undercover agents working for Russia, the Kyiv leader said in a video message on Saturday evening, DPA and Agerpres news agencies reported.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will continue this work, Zelenskyi noted, noting that the goal is to strengthen state institutions and protect them from internal and external influences.
Zelensky also promised more transparency in his state institutions.
The public administration, which in many cases is still marked by corruption and abuse of power, still has a long way to go before negotiations on possible EU accession begin.
“The state will continue to modernize its institutions, processes and procedures,” he said in a video message.
