
Marketa Vondrousova (WTA 89) was eliminated in the semifinals of the “WTA 250” tournament in Linz by the winner of the 44th WTA place, Russian Anastasia Potapova.

If the first and third sets were authoritatively won by Potapova, after several lost services by Vondrousova 6-1 and 6-3, then the second set reached a tie-break, where the former finalist of Roland Garros-2019 won with a score of 7-4.
The game lasted two hours and 19 minutes.
After this result, Potapova reached the finals of the tournament in Linz, where she will meet the winner Petra Martich and the favorite Maria Sakkari.
The Linz Open 2023 (WTA Linz) will be held from February 6 to 12 on indoor hard and is part of the WTA 250, offering a total prize pool of $259,303. Titled tournament champion (2021) – Alison Riske.
