Ana Bohdan had a great start to the match in the first round of WTA Doha qualification, but Karolina Pliskova came back and knocked out our athlete.

Bohdan, who is ranked 72nd in the world, was defeated in three sets by Pliskova (20 WTA, the main favorite of the qualification), the score 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. The match lasted one hour and 43 minutes.

Karolina (world leader in 2017 and US Open 2016 and Wimbledon 2021 finalist) will play the winner of the match between Great Britain Harriet Dart (108 WTA) and Slovenian Daila Jakupovic (243 WTA) in the next round.
