Sorana Kirstya was eliminated in the first round of qualifying at the “WTA 500” tournament in Doha after losing to Jill Teichmann (28 WTA).

Our athlete, who ranks 63rd in the world ranking, lost to the Swiss after an hour and 16 minutes of play with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

In the next round, Teichmann (the 3rd seed in the qualification) will play the winner of the match between Gabriela Ruse (148 WTA) and the Japanese Moyuka Uchijima (120 WTA).
