The President of the Republic of Moldova condemned the flight over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, saying that it is necessary to build an effective defense regardless of the country’s neutrality status.
“I strongly condemn today’s violation of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by a Russian missile. Moldova deserves peace and security, and we will take all necessary measures to achieve them. Our neutral status does not mean we should not build our defenses to protect our people,” she wrote on Twitter.

Two Kalibr cruise missiles flew over the airspace of Romania, the head of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhnyi said. However, the Ministry of Defense of Romania said that the information was not confirmed.
The Republic of Moldova confirmed that a Russian missile flew over it, but said that it flew over the Transnistrian region and over a village in the Sorok district near the border with Ukraine.
“Today, February 10, at 10:18 a.m., two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles crossed the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova. At 10:33, these missiles crossed Romanian airspace. After that, the missiles again entered the airspace of Ukraine at the checkpoint on the border of the three states,” Zaluzhny wrote on Twitter.
