A 33-year-old man was arrested while driving on Wednesday afternoon (8/2) in Kolonos by police officers from the Kolonos Police Department for animal law violations, threats and insults.

According to a complaint by a 43-year-old woman, at noon yesterday, the defendant abused a cat in the Kolonos area by hitting it with a stone, and then insulted the 43-year-old woman who was at the scene by moving towards her threateningly, having the stone in his possession.

The applicant then contacted the Kolonos Police Department and filed a lawsuit against the 33-year-old man. After the searches, the accused was found in the same area and taken to the police station, where he was detained.

After the subsequent investigation, the 33-year-old man, in addition to the alleged act, was accused in the past of other similar acts of cruelty to animals.

In fact, during the preliminary investigation, it turned out that the defendant, after bullying the four-legged animals, handed them over to an abandoned building in the Kolonos area, and after an autopsy in the building, it was found that there were corpses of dead animals.

The detainees have been taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, and the investigation of their participation in other similar cases is ongoing.
