​PSG’s journey to the French Cup came to a sudden halt in the round of 16, as the Parisian team was eliminated by Marseille (2-1), one of its great rivals.

Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a penalty, but the score was tied at halftime (Sergio Ramos scored 45+1).

Malinowski scored the winner against the hosts in the 57th minute and PSG were eliminated from the French Cup.

The match at the Velodrome stadium was attended by 65,200 spectators.

Nantes, Olympique Lyonnais, Toulouse, Rodez (Ligue 2 team), Annecy (Ligue 2 team) and Grenoble (Ligue 2 team) also reached the quarter-finals.
