Almost a year after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, intense fighting continues, especially in the east of the country. However, according to the president of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, the conflict may end earlier than expected, reports La Libre, cited by Rador.
In a conversation with his ex-prime minister Akhmed Dudayev, which was broadcast on the Telegram channel, Kadyrov states that the “special operation” will end by the end of the year with the victory of Russian troops.
“Europe admits that it did wrong,” insists the leader of Chechnya, who is close to Vladimir Putin. “The West will fall to its knees, and European countries will have to cooperate with Russia in all spheres, as usual.”
Since the beginning of the conflict, thousands of Chechen fighters have left the capital Grozny to go to the Ukrainian front to fight alongside Russian forces.
Kadyrov uses Putin’s vocabulary to describe the conflict in Ukraine. According to the president, Russian and Chechen troops are cooperating in this “holy war” against the “satanic values” of the West.
