Arsenal, Chelsea and United v Manchester City

After a lengthy investigation, the Premier League on Monday accused the English champions of breaching financial rules.

If found guilty, the club could face a range of severe sanctions, including points being stripped or even relegated, although a verdict could take years, the Daily Mail reports.

According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United want the harshest punishment for Guardiola’s team.

The same source indicates that stripping Manchester City of the titles is considered “ridiculous” and the fine “will not have much effect”.

Following the allegations, the club responded with a statement expressing surprise and saying it looked forward to resolving the matter.

Manchester City have won six of their last 11 Premier League titles, so their arch-rivals have every reason to demand consistent action from them.
