Camila Giorgi needed just one hour and five minutes to reach the round of 16 of the tournament after two convincingly won sets, 6-1 and 6-2.
Giorgi can meet another Romanian Irina Begu (27 WTA) in the 1/8 finals if she overcomes Denmark’s Klara Towson (141 WTA) on Wednesday.
The 2023 Linz Open (WTA Linz) will be held from February 6 to 12 on indoor hard and is part of the WTA 250 category with a total prize pool of US$259,303. Titled tournament champion (2021) – Alison Riske.
