Paris Saint-Germain are at loggerheads with Paris authorities after they refused to sell the Parc des Princes stadium, a condition set by the Qatari owners for future investment.
PSG wants to build a new stadium
The PSG club instructed the Legends company to search for land for the construction of a new stadium, in the perspective of moving from the famous Parc des Princes, writes L’Equipe.
The company has already cooperated in football with “Real”, “Liverpool”, “Manchester City” or “Tottenham”.
Ligue 1’s approach is logical amid the dispute between the board and the mayor of Paris over the future of the stadium.
The city is refusing to sell the Parc des Princes, with the Qatari owners making the purchase a prerequisite for renovations and an increase in capacity from the current 47,000 seats to 60,000.
Trying to resolve the conflict, the mayor of Paris has planned a new meeting with the club’s management in the near future to resume dialogue.
