
It neither confirms nor refutes the information of the Council and the European Parliament about upcoming visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Brussels.
According to unconfirmed reports in the European media, Zelensky will arrive in Brussels to attend an extraordinary meeting of the European Council (February 9-10) and will speak at an extraordinary plenary meeting of the European Parliament on Thursday, February 9.
When asked if he confirmed the information, Barrett Lynch, spokesman for the President of the European Council, declined to answer, stating:The only comment I can make is to reiterate that there is an open invitation for President Zelensky to visit Brussels. I can’t add anything more.”
For its part, the European Parliament does not confirm or deny the information “for security reasons.”
