Members Israelis armed forces killed armed Palestinians – they did not say how many – during a raid on a refugee camp near Jericho to capture members of an Islamic group HamasThis is stated in a press release issued by the General Staff.
According to the same source, the targets of the raid were suspected of attempting to attack a restaurant in the Israeli settlement of Vered Geriyahu on 28 January.
The Palestinian Authority has not yet commented on the operation of the Israeli army.
