
Two consecutive recurring 48 hours strikes from 6 am on Friday announced Panhellenic Union of Lifeboat Crewson the occasion of new collective labor agreements.
As stated in the message of the crews’ trade union, despite the fact that the preliminary agreement on amending the collective labor agreement was signed, in the presence of the leadership of the Ministry of Shipping, the employers’ associations submitted a collective agreement to sign, from which articles and paragraphs were arbitrarily deleted at their discretion, and without accepting or even discussing such changes.
He adds that the changes to the new collective bargaining agreement, which were agreed on the basis of a preliminary agreement, were checked by two lawyers of the crews’ union and the competent department of the Ministry of Shipping, and also adopted by the general meeting of the union members.
It is noted that the Panhellenic Union of Tug Crews is expected to take part in the 48-hour nationwide strike of all categories of ships declared by the Panhellenic Maritime Federation from Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 6 am to Friday, February 10, at 6 am.
