Jaswand Singh Chail, 21, has confessed to wrongdoing at London’s Old Bailey after being arrested on the grounds of a castle in west London on Christmas Day 2021.
Elizabeth was at the castle on the day of the invasion with her son, the current King Charles, and other close family members.
Child spent months planning the attack, prosecutors said at a previous hearing. When an officer approached, he said, “I’m here to kill the queen.”
He appeared at a hearing Friday at London’s Old Bailey via video link wearing a black jacket and only spoke to confirm his name and plead guilty to the charges. Judge Jeremy Baker said he would sentence Child on March 31.
