The headmaster of an elementary school in Aridea Pella died tragically when he was dragged by a passing car while trying to cross the road on foot towards the school.
The accident happened at about 7.30 am, in front of Ariday 3rd Elementary School, where the principal was an unfortunate 64-year-old teacher.
The 64-year-old man was taken by an EKAB ambulance to the local Health Center, where doctors pronounced him dead, and the 34-year-old driver of the van was detained as part of the preliminary Almopia Police Department.
