Simona Halep has resumed training pending a hearing in her case at Sport Resolution, the independent tribunal in London that hears doping cases in tennis.
Virginia Ruzici announces the return of Simona Halep
Halep, ranked 15th in the WTA rankings, is currently suspended from tennis after testing positive for Roxadustat during the 2022 US Open.
Her former manager Virginia Ruzici believes the former Roland Garros winner will make a comeback soon because she is innocent.
“Symona is training these days and is ready to return as soon as possible. I keep my fingers crossed that it happens as soon as possible, because she is innocent,” said Virginia Ruzici in a conversation with tennis coach Daniel Spatz, Prosport reports.
