
Ford will announce its return to Formula 1 in New York on Friday after agreeing the details of its partnership with Red Bull, with the famous oval logo returning to races from 2026.
Ford cooperates with Red Bull in Formula 1
The Ford brand will return to Formula 1, and the official confirmation will be at the start of the new season of the “Great Circus” in New York, the Daily Mail reports.
Ford will partner with Red Bull Powertrains, the team’s own engine division, meaning the famous oval track will return to F1 in 2026 when it switches to green fuel in a major rule change.
Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner, along with two-time world champion Max Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez, have already arrived in Manhattan for the event, which will also be attended by Ford chief executive Jim Farley and F1 boss Stefano Domenicali.
Ford is making a comeback after selling the Red Bull Formula 1 team for one dollar in 2004. Since then, they have focused on other categories, including the World Rally Championship.
