An electric car like no other

Urban mobility is rapidly changing thanks to new solutions such as electric scooters that allow people to move quickly properly in the city.

Canyon has come up with a conceptual idea for its future bikes. And the least we can say is that it promises to be as innovative as it is useful. Canyon is one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world. The company has invested heavily in electric models. This experience helped him develop this concept of urban mobility, which at the moment does not have a name.

As you can see in the diagram above, the idea is to mix a car with an electric bike to create a vehicle that combines the best of both. Although it has four wheels, they are as thin as a regular bicycle. This reduces friction and increases efficiency. Unlike a bicycle, the cyclist is covered and protected by what Canyon calls a “capsule.”

When motorists become cyclists

This pedal machine has a 2000 Wh battery, enough for approx Range of 150 km. It is also possible to install a secondary battery. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 60 km/h.

In addition, it works like a modern electric bicycle. Thanks to its internal battery, it can transport you anywhere in the city in a clean and silent way… but you can also spin the pedals. Although the driver is seated as in a car, the accelerator and brake pedals are actually bicycle pedals.

A big advantage over an ordinary electric bicycle is the protection that the body provides us. Plus, there’s a lot more storage space than a traditional bike. In the pictures published by Canyon, we can see that even a small child can carry parcels in the back seat.
