The protest in front of Parliament was carried out by entertainment artists in the context of POTHA’s 48-hour strike over wages as defined in the POA. 85/2022.
The artists with banners in their hands demand the repeal of Presidential Decree No. 85/2022 and the inclusion of all artists in the TE wage level. POTHA (Panhellenic Federation of the Performing Arts) announced a two-day strike and protest rally for today in Syntagma.
In their all-Hellenic protest, the artists, among other things, demand that all gaps in education be filled with the permanent appointment of teachers of specialties (dance and cinema) and their timely placement in school divisions. In addition, they require appropriate building infrastructures for conducting art courses, certification of the level of education in art courses and its mandatory recognition.
