Yesterday’s news caused sudden grief in the “K” and SKAI group, as Stelios Ioannidis, the father of our beloved colleagues Sakis and Stavros Ioannidis, passed away from an aneurysm. Young in age, since he was born in 1958, he has had time to show off his sons excelling in journalism, as well as to see his granddaughter, Talia, go to elementary school. A native of Thessaloniki whose parents immigrated to Germany, he studied electronics but ended up making a career in insurance. He married Thalia early and raised his sons with love for his own passion for airplanes and space. His funeral will take place today at the Transfiguration of the Savior in Kalamaria at 11.30 and we wish courage to the whole family.
