The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) fined B1 TV 10,000 lei for 24 episodes of the show “Hello Romania”, all about Interior Minister Lucian Bode, due to a lack of balance, writes Pagina by Media.
The editions, which aired for three months, focused on three main topics: the failure of Schengen, the purchase of BMW cars for the Romanian police and allegations of plagiarism, all of which are linked to the minister Lucian Bode.
- “After 24 editions, it is impossible to remain with an opinion that is not even neutral, let alone… No one suggests that it should be positive, but that it should be balanced.
- No one should love a politician, he should not hate him, just form his own opinion,” said Valentin Djukan, vice president of CNA, who proposed a fine for the B1 TV channel for the attacks in Bode, writes Media Page.
CNA members, after watching clips from 24 episodes of Hello Romania, claimed that the film’s creators violated three articles of audiovisual law, including one that stipulates that “presenters and moderators must ensure a clear separation of opinion from facts and must not use their constant appearance in programs in a way that contradicts the requirements of ensuring impartiality”.
- “I don’t care that it concerns the topic of a political figure, but out of 24 editions, all 24 editions, but in almost three months, 24 editions are simply about the topic of a political figure,” Valentin Djukan claimed. a fine of 10,000 lei was imposed on the television station B1 TV.
